Can the twin trundle bed be pulled out away separate from the bunk bed?

The trundle bed is not attached to this Full Over Full Staircase Bunk Bed and it can be rolled away separately from the bunk bed.

What size mattress does the trundle bed take?

The trundle fits a standard twin-size mattress up to 6" thick.

Is a box spring recommend with this bunk bed?

None of our CozyBeds, beds, bunk beds, or loft beds require a box spring, as the slatted design provides plenty of support for your mattress.

Can these beds be used separately?

Yes, it is possible to separate the Full-over-Full Bunk Bed into two stand-alone full / double-size beds.

What size/height mattress do you recommend for the top and button bed?

You will need two standard full-size mattresses. For the top bunk, we recommend a 5 or 6-inch low-profile mattress. A 6-inch or 8-inch mattress is recommended for the bottom bed.
